The Beauty of Road Signs

Usually, when I do my road trips to take pictures of road sigs for my collection, I am most interested in, how these signs look from the driver’s point of view. But now and then I also get out of the car and take some more interesting photos. Here are some selected images from the last years. Enjoy!

These are beautiful! Is it possible to get some of these to use as desktop backgrounds?

Beautiful selection. Since 2003 all road signs in Switzerland use ASTRA Frutiger font. A nice way to honour Adrian Frutiger.

Thanks again for this articles. Those are interesting pictures. I think that road signs and any kind of directional signs located near the road and highway are not only useful, but they design our urban environment. They belongs to the lanscape so it’s better to make sure that those signs are well designed and catch the drivers’attention
